Frequently Asked Questions
The annual iCare, iGive Campaign offers an opportunity for SSM Health team members to give back and support their local ministry or the ministries of their choice through a personal financial contribution.
Funds raised through the campaign support your ministry’s Employee Relief Fund, areas of greatest need, and other vital programs and services that help provide exceptional care to those we serve. Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a significant difference in the lives of our patients and your fellow colleagues in need of assistance.
To make a new gift through payroll deduction, click HERE. On the Voluntary Deductions page, click the ‘Add’ button at the top, then select the fund you want to support. Scroll down to the Value field and enter the amount you want to contribute per-pay-period. Click ‘OK’ to save.
*NOTE: The Start and End Dates are defaulted for you and the new deduction will automatically be applied to the next pay-cycle.
To make a one-time gift by credit card click HERE. Select your region to find your local Foundation. Click the Donate Now >> link under the Foundation to make your one-time gift.
Please email employeegiving@ssmhealth.com if you have questions.
Voluntary Deduction is the term Workday uses for payroll-deducted contributions.
Payroll deductions are available for SSM Health employees through Workday. There is a minimum gift of $1 per-pay-period per funding option, and we have 26 pay periods each year. For example, a gift of $1 per-pay-period = $26/year, a gift of $2 per-pay-period = $52/year. To see what your total yearly contribution would be based on the payroll deduction amount, click HERE. Gifts will be deducted through payroll starting with the next pay period. Payroll deductions will automatically continue each year, unless changed by the employee.
If you donated last year via payroll deduction, your payroll deductions will automatically continue at the same giving amount. No action is needed on your part. If you want to make a change to your current deductions, please see question below for instructions.
To update a current deduction, login to Workday HERE. You will see a summary of your current employee contributions. Click the ‘Edit’ button to the right of the deduction you wish to revise. Select an end date of today or for the next pay-period date shown below. This will stop your current deduction.
After saving and returning back to the Voluntary Deductions page, click ‘Add’ to re-select the fund you wish to support, add the amount for your per-pay-period contribution in the Value field and click save.
If you wish to support an additional fund, you will need to click ‘Add’ again for the second deduction, select the new fund from the drop-down menu, enter the amount of your per-pay-period contribution and click save. The new deduction will automatically be applied to the next pay-cycle. You do not need to change the dates as the start and end dates are defaulted for you.
Yes. In the Workday Voluntary Deductions section, you must ‘Edit’ and stop the contribution you wish to change and create a new one to ensure all changes are accurately applied to any paychecks moving forward. Please see the question above for instructions on how to make a change to your current deduction.
If you have any questions about this process, please email employeegiving@ssmhealth.com.
Click HERE to log in to Workday and use your SSM Health credentials (workstation username and password). You may be asked to verify with the Symantec VIP app on your smartphone.
From the home screen in the Workday App, go to Apps and click on ‘Benefits and Pay’. Click the circle icon on the top right and select Voluntary Deductions (under Pay). This is where you can see your current deductions, add a new deduction, or edit a current one.
As a not-for-profit health care provider, we rely on the generous support of our communities so we can continue carrying out our Mission of exceptional care and serving all patients regardless of their ability to pay.
When you contribute to the iCare, iGive Campaign, you support the critical needs of your own ministry. By giving back, you help establish a culture of gratitude that ensures we are taking care of our patients and each other.
Go to Workday and log in. Click on the ‘Pay’ app and select ‘Voluntary Deductions.’ You will see a summary of all your current employee contributions. If you do not see a deduction you have signed up for, please contact employeegiving@ssmhealth.com.
The 2024 iCare, iGive Campaign is promoted from June 3 to June 28, but a gift can be made at any time throughout the year by clicking HERE.
